Blue Back Mitten Run

This festive family 5K tradition welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to celebrate the season as a community. The 3.1-mile road race winds through West Hartford neighborhoods, lined with homes decorated for the holidays and festive shop windows.

NEW this year, 5K participants earn a pair of warm and cozy, lined winter mittens! (Participants from years past are encouraged to wear their favorite knit beanie race hat). Enjoy holiday cookies post-race in Blue Back Square.
Bring the kids to participate in the HMF FitKids run – a ½ mile or one mile dash to Blue Back Square.
In the spirit of holiday season giving, collections will be taken for NEW winter hats, gloves, scarves etc. to benefit neighbors in need. Donations of cash/checks will also be taken to support the Town That Cares Fund
